3 ways to fix a nervous singing voice - Sing with confidence!
How to Sing In Front of a Crowd
Practice what you're singing.Know the lyrics, speed, tone, etc. by heart.
Don't strain yourself trying to go too low, or too high. This will make you sound very odd.
Practice around a close friend, or family member. They may be able to tell you what you did wrong, so you can learn from your mistakes.
Singing is like acting.Put emotion into what you're singing! If you're singing a sad song, make it soft and sweet. If you're singing a love song try making it sweet, but loud. If you're singing an angry song (i.e. for a play, and you're the jealous evil character) put emotion into it, but don't scream. Also try using facial expressions if you're performing the song for a musical.
If you're not a loud singer, try to sing louder. You want to be heard!
Don't let comments like, " You can't sing!" or such, get rid of your confidence.
Try to imagine the audience in their underwear. It makes you feel more confident and like your the best there. Try to close your eyes and imagine yourself in your room singing to your friend or yourself.

QuestionHow can I overcome my fear of singing a solo in front of my friends?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerTry recording yourself singing and send it to them. QuestionI am in my school choir and have a solo for our concert, but I always picture worst case scenarios (messing up, forgetting words, tripping as I walk, etc.). What can I do to stop this?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerInstead of imagining the bad things, imagine good things: people clapping and smiling, being told you did a great job, that feeling you'll have when you walk off stage and know that it's over. Every time you start to have a bad thought, replace it with a good one. Thanks!
QuestionHow do I overcome the fear of people laughing at me?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerYou just have to be confident in yourself and realize that while it might hurt, people laughing at you doesn't ultimately harm you. So if it does happen, just ignore them and detach yourself from their criticism. A true friend will support you no matter what, so surround yourself with supportive and loving individuals, but the most important thing is to find confidence in yourself. Thanks!
QuestionWhat if my voice breaks whilst singing?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerKeep a steady stream of air, and breathe in through your nose deeply for two or three seconds before opening your mouth. Keep a controlled tone. This was exactly my fear when I sang a solo in a choir concert. After I was done I was afraid my voice cracked, but when I heard the audio it sounded fine. What you imagine in your head is always worse than the reality! Thanks!
QuestionI am nervous and scared to sing in front of anybody. What do I do?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerBuild up the courage to practice in front of a friend or family member. Once you do that, keep challenging yourself to do it more often with friendly audiences. Thanks!

- Practice in front of a small group before you sing in front of a lot of people.
- Know that everyone watching you wants you to succeed. This should be encouraging!
- Never stand close too close to the mic. It makes your singing sound muffled.
- Don't stumble.
- To relax, try to pretend you are alone in your room or with close friends you are comfortable around.
- Instead of looking directly at the audience, which might cause you to get more nervous or make you laugh, look up, so you'll appear like you're looking at the audience when you really aren't.
